This is not meant to start a flame war with anyone,, im just curious if there are any bible believing Christians here,, and if so how do you handle the aspect of gambling?.. ive wrestled with this for several years.. its my thorn in the side as Paul would say... this has nothing to do with America or Iraq or Muslims or whether your Catholic.. i was just wondering if anyone here belives in Jesus.. I know i do, and was just wondering if anyone else here does... My only prayer is that God's will be done... have a nice night..

I am definitely a Christian.

As far as Religion and Gambling is considered, I have not found anything in the Bible that says Gambling is bad. One of my buddies asked his pastor about it and the Pastor said that as long as you don't put your family in danger and wager everything you have, he can't see anything wrong with it either.

thanks for the response kman, nice to hear from someone.. and i waver on the subject of gambling myself... deep down i dont think its right but like i said its a thorn in my side.. none are perfect here this is why -- you and i need Jesus.. makes no difference what the replies here are.. i was just curious... everyone believes somehting,,, evolution is a belief.. takes faith to belive that.. im not here to start anything -- was simply curious.. one day everyone will know the answer (or not know anything).. we are all here (i suppose) and how did we get here.. either by an ever existing universe or an Almighty God.. ---- guess we must choose this day..

My belief is , If you're a christian you should'nt,
Gambling is an addiction,
99% percent of people who gamble lose, some lose their home, wife, g/friends, kids, dignity, shoes pants and socks. In the Christian belief, you should help others, family, friends, strangers etc, but gambling takes the money , for which you can do these things.
Ok, If you wagered 200 on a game and lost, more than likely the person try to up themselves by winning the 200 back plus some,
but the thing is 85% of the time you dont, and you evventually keep playing catch up, but never will, the next day you may win back 100 or 150, but you go again to try and get the "200" and some more, but there is a cycle that never ends and thats called a "Gambling Disease"
Then there's the guy (or girl) that wins big, but keep going back because they think they can win more, but slowly it all goes away and here comes the catch up game again,

no, they should'nt leave it to us sickos who do.

If you think about it...it's almost a form of entertainment.

What would be more sinfull is if you administered bodily harm to the fella who failed to pay the 10 dimes he owed from last weeks game.

matters little if you believe in a God, or Jesus Christ,,, what matters is that you are presented with the Gospel,, for you to choose whether to believe or not.. Evolution is a religion "dont be fooled"... takes faith to believe in evolution as well....... care to explain why the Gospels are presented in a way that makes the original apostels appear to be cowards, feeble and weak... Peter denied Christ 3 times,,,,, only a few attended the crucifixation (mostly women).. while the others hid.... Yet after the resurrection these same original men were willing to die for him.. what caused this change?.. why would they have died for a lie?.. surely something caused this dramatic change..

Evolution is a religion?

It takes about as much faith to believe in evolution as is does to believe the Earth is round. Sure, you can't tell either with the naked eye but they're both true unless you are going to start giving me bullshit like "the sattelite imagery has been decieved".

Have you ever seen a fossil? That's your proof for evolution right there. Or are fossils the Devil's handiwork??
